The Local Delicacies
Pili nut candies can be found in every province. There's also binut-ong - sticky rice with coconut milk, timitim or cassava cake, hinagom - brown cake made of  sticky rice, kinagang - cray fish meat blended  with coconut meat and milk, leaves of mint and wrapped by hagikhik, kinunot - sting ray shark simmered in coconut milk but its now rare because its made of endargered species, ensaladang lato(seaweed), and pinangat - tahong, crabs and coconut milk.
Donsol, Sorsogon
This modest town rose to fame after the discovery of the whale shark or locally called as "butanding". Visitors/tourists pay the necessary fees and charter a boat to see the gentle giant up close. The best time to  visit is March to May.


The Coral Church of Barcelona
The Saint Joseph Parish Church or commonly referred to as Barcelona Church in Barcelona, Sorsogon was built by the Franciscans in 1874.  It is one of the oldest and considered as one of most beautiful churches in Bicol Region.Its walls are made of coral rocks and its windows are built high and wide.  It is said that no cement or steel were used in the construction of the church. Instead, beaten egg whites and a local wine mixed with lime were used as adhesives.

Bayugin Falls, Bulusan
Get in touch with nature and visit the Bayugin Falls of Bulusan. It takes about 20 minutes to get there. It's not a walk in the park but getting to witness the surroundings can be relaxing at the same time.
